Manufacturing Technology Transfer Center

DMDI is committed to flight safety is reflected in our highly qualified team of managers and instructors that operate the NASA Manufacturing Technology Transfer Center (NMTTC).  Through the NMTTC contract at Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), we provide instruction to all NASA organizations and suppliers to demonstrate the proper NASA approach to processing space flight hardware. Our instructors provide instruction in accordance with the NASA-STD-8739 series in the field of fiber optics, hand soldering, electrostatic discharge control techniques, crimping and harnessing, polymeric applications, repair and rework, and workmanship standards.   We support projects including spacecraft systems, launch vehicle systems, operational ground systems, and scientific instruments including both conventional satellites and Shuttle payloads.

DMDI instructors are certified as Class A and B instructors and receive biannual recertification in their field to ensure their skills are kept current with today’s constantly changing requirements.
