Up one levelThe National Park Service - Alaska Support Office (NPS-AKSO) contracted the services of MDA for the production of landcover classification maps and other geospatial products for various National Parks in Alaska.

- Gates of the Arctic National Park
- Six Landsat Thematic Mapper scenes were mosaiced to capture the Park in its entirety
- Gates of the Arctic Landsat Drape
- A clip of Landsat draped over a digital elevation model (DEM) for an area in the Gates of the Arctic National Park in Alaska. Looking northward along the north fork of the Tinayguk River. To the left is Frigid Crags Peak, and to the right is the Gates of the Arctic. Both the satellite imagery and the DEM will be used with other information layers such as slope, aspect, landform, aerial photography and ground truthing data to classify and map landcover vegetation classes for the 11 million acre park.

- Walker Lake, located along the southern edge of the Brooks Range, is GAAR's largest lake and is easily accessible by float plane from Bettles.
