Regional Mosaics
Stock Regional Mosaics are large area (small map scale) color mosaics of up anywhere form between 100 to 1200+ Landsat scenes. The mosaics have been created by MDA for marketing purposes and thus made available for purchase at greatly reduced prices.
The mosaics are contrast enhanced color Landsat image data products typically as a synthetic natural color composite. Each mosaic has a spatial resolution driven by a balance between the total area being covered and keeping the digital image size below the 2 gigabyte file size limit. This usually leads to pixel sizes ranging between 60 and 150 meters. The map projections of Regional Mosaics vary and are determined by the conventions for the areas being covered. Digital data or color prints at various sizes are available, including museum quality wall murals. Pricing for color prints is a function of print size (see pricing below).
