Image Production & Processing Package
MDA's Image Production and Processing Package (IP3) is a very high throughput, optimized system, for standard processing of all remote sensor imagery.
Although IP3 is a full end-to-end remote sensor image production package, it is usually used as a supplement to commercial image analysis packages. It contains EarthSat proprietary algorithms for automatic optimum spectral, radiometric, and spatial, enhancement of remote sensor imagery.
Unique capabilities of IP3 include: block bundle adjustment/triangulation of remote sensor imagery (MSS, TM, IRS, etc.) up to continental areas, ortho rectification of most remote sensors, and support of ephemeris from most remote sensor data from all ground receiving stations. MDA's bundle adjustment and orthorectification software was recently used for the NASA DataBuy contract, producing 3 complete contiguous images of the Earth. The data was then used with MDA landcover classification and raster to vector conversion software to produce Feature Foundation Data for NIMA.
IP3 software has been specifically optimized for, and is only supported on Sun Microsystems workstations and servers.
